The main reason why I photograph with a Leica camera:

“I want simplification, not amplification or complication…I just want light controls … because photography is about light.” – Thorsten Overgaard

“A camera that gives me the joy of ownership and the joy of shooting is much more important than one with the highest number of megapixels or highest ISO performance.” – Yukio Uchida

“A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.” ― Ansel Adams

“You just have to live and life will give you pictures.” – Henri Cartier-Bresson

Vintage Automobiles

I’m home this week but wanted to share a couple photos from our little town’s annual Christmas parade.  Of course a parade wouldn’t be a parade without some vintage automobiles.  So I grabbed a couple shots from the “sidelines” as these passed by:

Not sure what model the following vintage auto is but maybe someone out there that’s into older cars can help me.

Of course you have to have a hot rod as part of parade of cars too:

And one more to finish out this blog, definitely one that was built well before my time:

  1. Nice shots! The B&W gives an old-time feel that goes perfectly with the old-time vintage cars.

    1. Thanks Nicole, we had a great day!

Nice shots Duane, I bet Karl enjoyed the cars also.

    1. The hot rods were definitely making some nice noise.

  3. Olivia Griselda says:

It’s funny that when these photos are in b&w, one may think that it’s an old picture, until one examines the spectators of the parade, which are modernly dressed!

    1. Thanks for stopping by Olivia. We’ve got a great town to live in and we like parades too.
