This is the final part of my first day in Madrid. We finally made it to the Plaza Mayor. Unfortunately, they have erected a large structure in the middle of the plaza and there really was not much of an opportunity to get a wide shot that would do the plaza any justice.
We walked in and among several shops and actually continued through the plaza on out to the west to the Palacio Real and then back the plaza for dinner.
The camera turned my direction:
It was getting late by the time we finished our evening meal and we had to get back to the bus station as the last scheduled run to the hotel was 2300. So we jumped on the metro at the Opera Station on the Red Line.
And a final shot in the metro on our way back to the hotel:
The teatroreal and the restaurant click is outstanding. The detail you capture is worth a novel in each frame. No need for fancy lenses, if the subject speaks so much through detail alone.
Its true one does not really need fancy lenses, but once you see the difference in how the Leica glass draws even on my Ricoh, adding this lens to my kit has been a game changer.
