When I shoot with my Ricoh GXR I most always shoot with the RAW format selected. There are some that complain about Ricoh’s implementation of this setup since when this mode is selected the camera also makes a JPG file. The camera uses the JPG file to display the image on the LCD for reviewing the image. I like this method as I also select the highest quality JPG setting and normally shoot with black and white as my image settings. Then when using the LCD or EVF I’m seeing black and white in the view finder.
