Happy New Year

I would like to wish all of you a Happy New Year. This past year has gone by so fast it’s hard to believe its almost over. My blog started out as an experiment. I was looking for a reason to motivate myself to get a little more serious about my photography hobby. I think I’ve accomplished this as I didn’t expect anyone to show up and yet you have.

I would like to thank all of you who have found my blog and to the many wonderful comments you’ve left. I guess it didn’t hurt that my blog showed up one day on Freshly Pressed. And an image i submitted to Ricoh’s Annual Photography contest won an award. Again I thank those who are following me from those links.

So I as I look forward to a great new year my challenge to myself is to post a photo a day from where ever I am. I hope you will support me in that as I’ve garnered from reading others who have done the same, this is a challenge.

To make this work I will be blogging not only from my laptop but iPad and iPhone with the help of the WordPress iOS app. I will also be using the EYE-Fi wireless SD card to move my images from my Ricoh GXR camera to my iPad or iPhone when it’s not convenient to access my laptop. As those of you know I’m on the road traveling half my life.

Now that I have thrown down the daily photo challenge gauntlet for my New Years Challenge join me in welcoming the new year!

The end of 2011
