I flew into the Cambridge Airport late this afternoon and only had a couple hours of light. It’s been several years since I’d been here and at that time I was not taking photographs. Plus the weather was very fowl.
We’re staying at the Double Tree Hotel right on the river and as I was leaving the hotel to take some photos I asked the receptionist if there was one photo I should take what should it be?
She thought for a moment and while in thought I asked her what photograph would remind you of your city? She then immediately said the view of the rear King’s College from across the river.
Perfect. As I looked at the map and the sun was in a perfect position as it was only an hour or so before sunset and the rear of King’s College faces directly west.
I had to crop a little bit to get the look I wanted I hope I’ve done this great piece of architecture justice!
Beautiful Shot Duane. You have indeed done it justice. Wonderful composition and light.
All the best,
James
