I’m traveling for work and currently in the Detroit area. Its interesting how the long shadows in late afternoon are a sure sign that summer is over and fall is rapidly approaching.

Where I live in Western North Carolina, we really didn’t have much of a summer. It rained a lot this year and all I can say it just didn’t feel like a “normal” summer.

I’m afraid the fall may not be what we would like to see either as leaves are already beginning to fall where I live.
