“Kiss the Rain”

Kiss the Rain
Kiss the Rain

Last night as I was sitting in my favorite chair, an Ekornes Stressless Recliner that we’ve owned for over 15 years, I decided to put my Bose headphones on and just chill out.  I don’t do this very often as life just seems to run at too fast a speed.  Not sure what to listen to I decided to tune into the iTunes Radio on my iPhone.  Let me just say that the iTunes Radio is not one of my favorite ways to listen to music but I have created a couple “radio stations” and picked one I made quite a while back; “Yiruma Radio”.  Yiruma is a South Korean pianist and composer and knew his music to be calming and its what I needed right then.

I remember now why I dislike the iTunes Radio and especially last evening is someone at Apple will throw in a song that is completely out of sync with the genre or style music I thought I chose.  So occasionally I’d have to wake from my mindlessness and select the “Do not ever play that song again” option.

But what this interruption did cause was a chance for me to see some of the song titles I did enjoy.  And the one that really caught my attention was “Kiss the Rain” by Yiruma.  As I listened to the song and saw the title my thoughts immediately remembered the photograph I posted above.  Don’t know why this image was retrieved from my memory.  But I made this one while sitting in the car waiting while my wife dropped into a shop here in town.  I was playing with the camera experimenting with capturing the rain as it hit the windshield and the diffused light it created.  And of course it rained last night and I was awoken by thunder and pouring rain.
