The main reason why I photograph with a Leica camera:

“I want simplification, not amplification or complication…I just want light controls … because photography is about light.” – Thorsten Overgaard

“A camera that gives me the joy of ownership and the joy of shooting is much more important than one with the highest number of megapixels or highest ISO performance.” – Yukio Uchida

“A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.” ― Ansel Adams

“You just have to live and life will give you pictures.” – Henri Cartier-Bresson

A Walk Around Brevard

Had a lovely Saturday evening with my wife as we took a little walk around our town after enjoying a light meal at the Square Root.

As much as I love black and white photography (your’s included), I for one would miss your color stuff. I saw over at RFF you were considering the new Monochrom, the examples in this post are wonderful!

    1. Sorry I haven’t gotten back to you jkjod with a response or a decision for that matter. I am still not sure what I’m going to do. My wife wants me to keep the M-E as she too enjoys seeing the color images this camera can produce. However, she did suggest that I buy another used digital M while mine is in the shop. So I’m still thinking maybe a used Monchrom to fill the gap while the M-E is away.

Of course others have suggested I go ahead and upgrade to the M240 color model.
