Hike to the top of Looking Glass

My son and I hiked to the top of Looking Glass yesterday. I’ve always wanted to hike this trail but for whatever reason I never have.

The photo above is a view of Looking Glass from the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I had just got home from my week at work and my son was anxious to get out. I hadn’t paid too much attention to the trail details before getting started. Well, we hiked a total of 6.48 miles, over 2,000′ elevation change and completed the hike in less that 3 hours.
