I may get in trouble posting this photograph but it helps remind me how special the lady in this picture is to me. I travel away from home a lot. I’m traveling now, sleeping in another bed, in a different city, with unfamiliar food. But I know I don’t have to worry about the “home front” while I’m away as she is there.
For the past year or so we’ve been treating ourselves to a night out, once in awhile, on the day I return home from work. My lovely picks me up at the airport and we spend the evening in and around Asheville. A couple weeks ago, my special lady surprised me with a stay at the Grove Park Inn. I didn’t have to do any of the planning, reservations, nothing. Unfortunately, even though the sky was clear it was bit chilly yet in late February so we stayed inside during the afternoon. She scored us a great room over the main lobby making it easy to enjoy the hotel for the evening.
You can’t imagine how wonderful a treat this is after being gone for 7-8 days to spend an evening alone together before having to face my world at home.
