This past fall my friend Blake Ellege asked me if I would shoot his next CD album cover photos for him. At first I said no as I don’t have all the equipment I should have to do such work. But Blake insisted I think about it. He’d already booked the models and had a sweet location picked out and reserved too, The Crow and Quill in downtown Asheville.
I was on vacation so knew the date and time would not be a factor but I still wasn’t sure if I could meet Blake’s requirements and to produce the quality work he expected. Since I knew the location was not well lit I opted to rent the Leica M262 and Leica 28mm Summicron lens for the shoot. These are two of the photos he chose to put on his album and he was very happy with how it all turned out.
